Ali Shehab

Ali Shehab Ahmad is at present the Acting Chief Executive Officer at Kuwait Oil Tanker Company
(KOTC). In this role he is responsible for all fleet operational matters, including engineering,
personnel, newbuilding projects and marine agency. During a distinguished career with the
company Ali Shehab has been responsible for KOTC’s fleet renewal plans as well as introducing
modern, environment-friendly technologies onboard all KOTC vessels. As well as serving as
chairman of a number of KOTC subsidiary companies, Ali Shehab is also the chairman of the
DNV-GL Middle East Technical Committee and a member of ABS – South East Asia and the
Middle East Technical Committee.
